Royse City's Story — From Railroad Town to 27,000

Royse City was founded in 1885 when the Missouri, Kansas and Texas Railway came through Rockwall County. For most of its history, it was a small railroad and farming community. Then the DFW Metroplex expanded east along I-30, and everything changed. Royse City's population was 2,957 in 2000. Today it's pushing 27,000 — a 792% increase in 25 years. We've been here for most of that transformation. We watched it happen from our shop, and we've served the families who made it happen — the ones who moved here for the land, the value, and the quiet community feel that somehow survived even as the population tripled. Those families are our neighbors. Their homes are our responsibility.

Royse City's Housing Wave Is Peaking Right Now — And We're Ready

36.6% of all homes in Royse City were built between 2000 and 2009. Another 31.4% between 2010 and 2019.
